Plucking Blackberries

    Maple Seeds

    Maple Seeds by Dan Walnuss

Today we read the story of Moses and the burning bush, Exodus 3:1-15.  I got to use one of my favorite lines of poetry in my sermon:

Earth’s crammed with Heaven, and every common bush afire with God.                   But only he who sees takes off his shoes; the rest sit ’round it and pluck blackberries.                                           (Elizabeth Barrett Browning)
